A Southeast Asian orphan looking into the camera with sad eyes

JOIN US FOR ORPHAN SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7

“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”James 1:27

In 2009, the Christian Alliance for Orphans began providing united leadership to make Orphan Sunday a catalyst for awareness and action across the U.S. and worldwide. Today, churches and organizations in more than 90 nations observe Orphan Sunday annually.  At America World we've seen the impact of Orphan Sunday first-hand, year after year. Nealy 5,000 children once classified as orphans are now daughters and sons through the efforts of our agency. What an honor for us!

We believe God sets the lonely in families and He will use this important day to positively impact the lives of the most vulnerable around the world.
