Orphan Care Projects

The objective of America World’s orphan care projects is to provide:

1) Child protection through the provision of safe homes, food, education, and medical care.

2) Christian discipleship through the teaching of the Gospel

3) Sustainability through family preservation, job training, and employment for orphans who "age out."

We are all called to care for the orphan. Explore our many opportunities and find the right fit for you or your organization.

Bete Hosanna, Ethiopia

Orphaned Ethiopian children “age out” of care when they turn 18. With no support from family, limited education, and no job skills, young women find it incredibly challenging to survive in a poverty-stricken country. Bete Hosanna is an America World-run transition home where these young ladies receive food, shelter, love, discipleship in Christ, job training, and hope for a successful and independent future.

Ethiopia Family Empowerment Project

America World is honored to partner with the local government in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, to provide monthly support for vulnerable children still residing with their biological families. This program allows families to stay intact by helping to fund their most basic needs: food, shelter, clothing, and medication.

Haiti

Haiti Education, Nutrition, and Support

America World provides ongoing support for children in Haiti who don't have the opportunity to be adopted. Through donor support, we can provide financial resources for food, school supplies, uniforms, and tuition. Education is not free in Haiti, so children cannot attend school without this support. In addition, we've assisted with projects, provided emergency relief, and purchased items needed to care for children. Unfortunately, the challenges and costs in Haiti are steadily increasing, so every donation allows us to respond to critical needs.
