Ethiopia
Ethiopia is a beautiful and diverse country that has a rich history. Throughout the year, America World sends teams of volunteers to help and support ministries there. Our teams will invest in several ministries that we support, including Bete Hosanna, our newest project.
Bete Hosanna is a transitional home for teenage girls that are 18 years old and have aged out of the orphanage. Their future is bleak at best, without resources, education, job, or money. At Bete Hosanna, they learn essential life skills, are taught daily about God, are in trade schools to learn about areas that interest them, and gain valuable interpersonal skills such as living as a family and conflict resolution.
Our teams will support and engage the girls and staff with various activities and take needed supplies. Our teams will also be able to help and support a group of families from the community that America World comes alongside, providing basic necessities and encouraging them amid extreme poverty situations. Teams will also volunteer at two government orphanages to help in any way needed.
