Bogota Colombia Mission Trips

The bustling city of Bogota is home to almost 11 million Colombians. It's surrounded by gorgeous mountains that can be seen anywhere in the city. The city boasts beautiful restaurants with tasty foods, delicious coffee, colorful buildings, and busy street markets with unique handmade goods.

The main purpose of this trip is to meet the children available for adoption so you can advocate for them when you return to the United States. These children are stunningly beautiful. You will enjoy their intelligence, funny personalities, endless energy, and notable attempts to share their English skills. They are well cared for by their caregivers and health professionals in the institutions where they live, but they are desperate for a family. You will see this need in their eyes and feel it in your heart as you get to know them beyond the information in their files.

The country is beautiful. The children are amazing. The need is great. We pray for Jesus to find a loving family for each child, and we know nothing is too hard for Him.

Colombia Trip Leaders: Ashley Bruce and Toni Benton

Ashley BruceAshley Bruce lives in Stearns, Kentucky. She has been on many mission trips with America World and took her first mission trip to Colombia in 2022. Since that experience, she has longed to return, so she looks forward to leading this trip.

She says, "I've laid awake many nights praying for the children I met on my last trip. I believe He will set them in homes where they can learn the love of God's son, Jesus, and the sacrifice He gave them. I look forward to introducing you to them and advocating for them to find homes."

Toni BentonToni Benton lives with her family in Maryland. She's led many mission trips with America World, including China, Jamaica, and Haiti, and she's very, very excited to meet the children of Colombia.

Toni comes from a large family, and she and her husband, Bill, have a large family as well, many of whom were adopted. She feels honored and blessed to be called to continue caring for orphans by leading mission trips to serve, perhaps alongside you.
