India – Young
March 8, 2019 - March 16, 2019
Estimated Cost: $3,000 - $3,300
Team Leader: Martha Young
Martha first served in China in 2015 where her heart was broken for the orphan. Since then she has returned and led several teams.
In early 2018 Martha led the inaugural team to Aizawl India and her heart was broken once again. That trip ignited a spark that could not be put out and she committed to taking yet another team in March of 2018.
The goal of the March 2019 trip is to bring activities and mentors who will speak deeply into the hearts of the children who live at the children’s home we are committed to serving in Aizawl, India. Additionally, several support efforts were launched in 2018, and these efforts need advocates who will enter the story and return home to tell it.
Aizawl is the capital of the state of Mizoram in India. With a population of 293,416, it is the largest city in the state. It is also the center of administration containing all the important government offices, state assembly house, and civil secretariat. The population of Aizawl strongly reflects the different communities of the ethnic Mizo people.
* This is a general estimate of the overall trip cost per person. The costs are all-inclusive and intended to cover all traveling expenses, including international airfare. Our missions staff work diligently to keep the trip costs as low as possible.
