Season of Hope 2019
This year, in preparation for the Season of Hope, our America World family and friends set aside 21 days to pray and fast for adoption, orphaned and vulnerable children and our agency. Thank you to those who joined and supported us through prayer. We saw God speak into and tangibly answer many requests during that time.
Our annual Season of Hope has now begun! This is a time when we rejoice over what God has done in 2019 and plan for even more impact in 2020. This year a $125,000 matching grant has been provided to double the impact of all gifts given toward the Season of Hope. Your gift, during this time, will enable America World to care for orphaned and vulnerable children, support families in post-adoption, open new adoption programs and support at-risk families globally.
More Ways to Get Involved:
Not everyone is called to adopt, but all believers are called to care for orphans. There are many different ways you can join the work of America World by serving and sharing your gifts.
Pray – This work would not be possible outside of the will and power of our Lord. The intricacies of each adoption story and the ever-changing landscape of international adoption lay in His hands. Fundraise - We’re calling all orphan advocates, young and old, to share your time and talents by hosting your own fundraising event in honor of America World.
- Kids can set up a hot chocolate or lemonade stand
- Host a bake sale after church on Orphan Sunday
- Run a 5k/10k or even a marathon and collect pledges for AWAA and Orphan Care
- Dedicate your birthday to help raise funds to care for orphaned and vulnerable children
- Sell unneeded items on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist and donate the proceeds
These are just a few ideas. Get creative and use your passions and hobbies to help children around the world!
