Welcoming Angels: Reverse Hosting Trips to Haiti
Join America World as we travel to Haiti in 2014 on Reverse Hosting Trips! Dates for the first two trips are March 1 – 6 and April 12 – 17. The purpose of these trips is twofold, as reverse hosting is designed not only to meet the spiritual and physical needs of older orphans, but also to advocate on their behalf. Ultimately, Welcoming Angels’ vision is to raise awareness about the needs and plight of older orphaned children throughout the world.
Trip participants have the opportunity to interact and spend time with older orphans, whose ages range from 6 to 16. As a team, we build relationships with the children and gain a better understanding of their way of life and every day experiences. We plan special activities, projects and events to reach these orphans who might not have the opportunity to join forever families.
While in Haiti, the team will be accompanied by AWAA staff and local guides/translators. For all in-country expenses, the total cost is $1,200 per person, which includes:
- Airport transfers
- In-country transportation
- Translators to accompany the team
- Accommodations for 5 days and 5 nights (1st night in Miami & 4 nights at the AWAA Guesthouse)
- Breakfast and dinner at the AWAA Guesthouse
- Cable TV, Wi-Fi and phone calls to the U.S.
- Laundry service
(Please note this does not include the cost of airfare)
Welcoming Angels strongly believes in hosting trips and the benefits they provide to older orphaned children. Please join us on one of these exciting reverse hosting trips.
