Welcoming Angels Program Update

Our commitment to waiting children comes not only through our Welcoming Angels hosting program. We strongly believe in hosting and the benefits it provides older orphans. One of the principle goals of this program is to raise awareness about the plight and needs of older orphaned children.

Through Welcoming Angels, children live with families in the United States for a short-term stay of about 4 weeks. The orphans in each of our hosting sessions are older kids, whose ages range from 6 to 16. The cost for our families is roughly $2,000, depending on the in-country and travel costs specific to the country. Welcoming Angels plans to hold hosting sessions in the summer of 2014 and over Christmas 2014. You can learn more about the program by checking out the Welcoming Angels website.

The foundation for this program is our hosting communities. We look for families who either attend the same church or live in the same area, as well as people to serve as local hosting coordinators.
