Welcoming Angels News
December 15, 2010

What a blessed time we had last Friday at the Welcoming Angels benefit concert in Abingdon, Maryland.  Thanks to Grafted Families, Brody Bond, and Orphan Project for sharing their time and talents to raise money and awareness for Welcoming Angels hosting ministry in Maryland.  Over $500 was raised from the concert that will be used as scholarships for Baltimore area host families.

The opening act was Brody Bond (see picture below) followed by Orphan Project, both Baltimore area based bands.

WA band 1
 Brody Bond, alternative folk musician

WA band 2
Duni Zenaye, Africa Program Director at America World, Orphan Project band members and Grafted Families Ministry

It was a real treat to have Duni Zenaye, Africa Program Director at America World, in attendance at the concert.  Duni shared with the audience about Welcoming Angels and older orphans in Ethiopia.  Thanks to everyone who came out to the concert to support Welcoming Angels!

I am excited to share that Welcoming Angels has now been approved for the state of Pennsylvania!  If you live in Pennsylvania and are interested in learning more about how to bring Welcoming Angels to your area please contact Mary Noble, Hosting Director, at mary.noble@awaa.org .

Have a blessed week!

Mary Noble
