Urgent: Family Needed for Olivia!

You may remember last year when we advocated for a little girl named Olivia. We later updated that she had been matched and the family began working on the paperwork and steps needed to bring her home. The family gave us permission to share that due to circumstances outside of their control, they are no longer able to pursue an adoption at this time. Due to her medical needs, we are hopeful that she can be matched quickly and be home as soon as possible to receive the treatment that she needs. Please join us in praying and advocating for her!

Throughout 2015 we received several updates from Storyteller Missions team members as well as updates on the status of her health and medical condition from the orphanage staff.  Mission team members describe her as curious, smart, sweet and content. A number of team members are willing to share about their time and interactions with her. Many photos, notes, videos and details are available for a family to review and consult with a doctor.  A physician has reviewed her file and can provide additional feedback regarding her medical needs.

Olivia is a sweet and cheerful girl who is loved by her caretakers at the orphanage. She has been diagnosed with cerebral dysplasia and a skin condition that covers much of her body. She loves attention and is very fond of being held and cuddled. She enjoys playing with toys and hearing music.

Her file is designated by the CCCWA as Special Focus and she is from one of our agency’s orphanage partnerships. A family at any stage of the process is eligible to review Olivia's file. Due to the dynamics of the situation, we have a limited amount of time to match her with a family.

Contact our China staff at 800-429-3369 or china@awaa.org to learn more about her. Please pray for Olivia and each of our Waiting Children!

Please join us in advocating for Olivia by sharing this important information within your social networks and through social media. Thank you for your efforts in helping Olivia find her forever family!
