Update on Ukraine Adoption

Over the past few weeks the world's attention has turned increasingly towards the country of Ukraine and the escalating political situation that is occurring. We’ve received many inquiries as to how this may effect U.S. citizens adopting from Ukraine. It is still too early to speculate on how this may or may not effect the adoption process and there has been no official information provided from Ukrainian adoption authorities or the U.S. Department of State that alludes to the adoption process being affected. It is only the months to come that we will see what changes are brought about through the transition in government and whether Ukrainian laws on adoption will be regarded.

The main concern is in the current travel safety of U.S. Citizens. Today, the U.S. Department of State issued a new travel warning, which we recommend reading if you intend to travel in the near future. Our prayers will continue to be with the loved ones of those who lost their lives and with the country’s leadership. We will especially be in prayer for the orphans of Ukraine that their lives will not be detrimentally effected in any way as the country experiences significant changes in it’s government, economy and society.
