Upcoming China Waiting Child Program Referrals
So far in 2016, we have received 36 referrals in the China Waiting Child Program! We are excited to share that 20 files from our orphanage partnerships are in process and recently some of our staff had the opportunity to meet some of these sweet little ones! The group includes both boys and girls with a wide range of medical needs with most ranging in age from 1 to 4 years.
As we have matched a large number of our families open to boys, we are looking for new families to adopt from China and there continues to be a great need for more families willing to adopt a boy. Through our China program, families open to a boy with commonly seen medical needs are being matched following their Log in Date with little to no wait time and are completing their entire process from application to coming home with a child in 10-16 months. Just think, by next spring you could be bringing home your son or daughter from China!
We will not know the full scope of the children’s medical needs until we have the complete referral information. At this time, it is unknown whether these files can be matched with families at any stage of the process or whether a family must have their paperwork already logged in at the CCCWA. Please note that the matching process will be completed once the children’s full referral files are received. Families are not able to pre-identify upcoming referrals. If we are unable to match a child with a family currently in the AWAA China Waiting Child program, we will be advocating for the children HERE.
Families not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a quick free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you regarding your eligibility to pursue the adoption of a waiting child. You can also view children who are currently waiting for families by visiting our website and clicking HERE. Most often, children with minor/repairable medical needs and/or very young children do not appear as often on the Waiting Child listings because they are generally matched directly (when their files arrive) with families already in our China program who are requesting those particular medical needs. Many young children with minor medical needs are designated by China to be matched only with families whose paperwork is already submitted to China.
With many new files on the way, now is a great time to consider adopting through our China program! Please let us know how we can help with any questions about the adoption process. Our China staff can be reached by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 800-429-3369.
We look forward to receiving these children’s file in the upcoming weeks and seeing God’s plan unfold in each of their lives!
