Todd Family Returns Home from China
At America World Adoption, we love seeing families united with their children and hearing their stories. We eagerly watch with anticipation as each family’s process unfolds while they work diligently for many months preparing their paperwork, praying for God to bring just the right children into their families. This was the story of the Todd family, who after adopting Selah, can see how God is in all of the details. Below, they share how God was so evident in how He creates adoptive families and how they can’t imagine life without their sweet girl! Selah’s mom reflects on her time from China and upon coming home:
“I remember thinking when we were in China, as I watched the other families who traveled with us, how each of our new little ones fits perfectly into our families. God knows each child and knew who would be the best parents and family for each one. God is so good.
Something that brings tears to my eyes is what my eight-year-old son Jonah said. “Mommy, thank you so much for adopting Selah. I love her so much! If you and Daddy didn’t say yes to God when He asked you to adopt her, we wouldn’t have her in our family.”
All of our kids are totally in love with Selah. They love doing silly things to make her laugh and she has the biggest and sweetest smiles, not to mention- she has the best laugh ever as she has the biggest belly laughs! (watch video below) Thank you, America World staff, for all of your prayers and help throughout our adoption journey. Selah is such a blessing to our family. She fits right in and I love how God does that!”
God designs the best families and the Todd’s story is a testament to that. What they witnessed first-hand with their travel group in China shows that when we give our fears about adoption over to him and let Him write our stories, He truly creates the best endings.
