Today is World Down Syndrome Day – Meet Some of Our Children

Today on World Down Syndrome Day, we want to take a moment to highlight some very special children in our China Waiting Child Program.

Down-Syndrome-Day-2017
March 21 (3/21) represents the 3 copies of the 21
st chromosome unique to those born with Down syndrome.  Each year, many files of children with Down syndrome are referred to America World’s China Waiting Child Program and are in need of a loving family. Currently, there is no wait time at AWAA for a family to be matched with a child with this need. We are currently in need of new families who are willing to adopt a child with Down Syndrome. Will you join us in praying for Sammy, Mary, Jonathan, Timothy, Lilly and Felix just a few of the boys and girls with Down Syndrome that are currently waiting in our program? We also anticipate to receive more files throughout this year of children with Down Syndrome. To learn more about the precious children we currently  have waiting, please visit our Waiting Child Advocacy Page.

These files are designated as Special Focus by China, so families at any stage of the process are eligible to be considered for matching. Please contact our China team at china@awaa.org with any questions or to express interest if you’d like to be considered for any future files we receive. You can also fill out a free pre-application by visiting this link.
