Tired of the Wait?

We want to offer some encouragement to all of our families who are waiting.  The waiting time during the adoption process has increased over the years, which makes the process that much more difficult for families.  Those of us who have been through the adoption wait time fully understand how hard it can be.  You quickly lose comfort in the encouragement of those around you to “hang in there” or reminders like “good things come to those who wait”.  At the same time, you understand the support they are offering and that God's timing really is perfect.

Still, it is difficult.  Most of us realize just how impatient we can be.

Remember that God does have a plan.  He has a plan for you and a plan for your family. Know that at America World, our staff meets and prays for you every day at 9:00 am before we begin our work.  We know many others are praying for you, and we know you are praying.  Micah 7:7 reminds us that God hears all of those prayers.  His plan for your life is unfolding, in His perfect timing.  And remember, you are in good company!

Therefore I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
My God will hear me.
