‘The Dark Matter of Love’ Screening
We're excited to bring a film screening of “The Dark Matter of Love” to the DC area. Several of our staff members have seen it, and reported that it is an excellent film exploring adoption topics. This is a Tugg event, which makes it unique. Here are the details:
How this works: We need a certain amount of people to purchase tickets in order for the film to be shown. If it ends up not happening, your credit card won't be charged. We are confident that enough people will come, so please buy your ticket now before the theater is filled!
When: Monday, July 28 at 7:30PM
Where: AMC Tysons Corner 16 – 7850 Tysons Corner Center, McLean, VA, 22102 (in the mall near the food court)
Price: $11.00 per ticket (purchase tickets here)
What it is: “The Dark Matter of Love” is a wonderful educational tool for prospective & adopting parents as well as post-adoption support groups. It deals with key issues, such as attachment/bonding issues, the effects of the child’s development on the family as a whole, boundary setting and discipline, parenting a child of a different culture, and expectations vs. reality of adoption process, and aims to aid in the prevention of re-homing and adoption disruptions.
But wait, there's more!: After the film, our Director of Post Adoption, Sara Munyan, will host a Q&A session.
Who should come: Anyone- while this film is resourceful for adoptive families, it can be educational for anyone. Feel free to send the link above to anyone who might be interested in seeing The Dark Matter of Love (thanks!).
