Team in China: A Picture Worth a Thousand Words
There are moments on our AWAA Storyteller trips that are captured behind the lens of a camera that tell a great story– this sweet moment was just one of many this week. One of our team members in China this week noted the following:
“If I had to travel around the world twice to see this again, I would. AWAA Staff member, Becki Carlson, is showing him a picture of his mama and baba (Chinese for daddy) that are leaving this week to bring him home. His words: thankful and happy.”
This one picture reflects just one of the hundreds of special moments these teams experience while serving. This photo is such a beautiful reminder of what it is like for an older child who has waited for years, to be given the hope of a forever family to call their own.
There are hundreds of boys and older waiting children in China, just like this, who are also waiting for their opportunity to be placed in a forever family.
