Around the Office: Tea for a Day

In our office, we love to have special events that are fun but don't take us away from our desks all day, and that incorporate the international nature of our organization. Yesterday, we had “Tea for a Day,” an all-day tea party set up in our conference complete with breakfast munchies, afternoon sandwiches, and of course tea. 

We sampled tea from all over the world, including countries where we process adoptions or send ACT trips. Although our love of coffee is well-documented (and we even have our own custom blend!), the tea was delicious. With temperatures in the teens here in McLean, we welcomed the warm, soothing drinks and delightful aroma. There is also something lovely about a tea party- the finger foods, beautiful chocolates, and teapots in all shapes and sizes. The red tea cozy pictured above is from an adoption trip to Kazakhstan!
