Season of Hope Reflections from the China Program Staff

As we enjoy the holidays and pause to give thanks for our many blessings, our China team would like to take a moment to say we are beyond thankful for each and every family who has allowed us to serve them over the years. We know that adoption, while filled with many joyous moments, can sometimes be a difficult journey and a process with many unknowns and changes along the way. We have been blessed to be given the privilege to extend a shoulder to cry on when a family cries beautiful tears of joy with the news of their son or daughter coming home soon. We have been given the honor to extend a listening ear, to provide guidance, and ultimately watch God work in the lives of each and every family and the child that will become their son or daughter.  We are constantly in awe of how God orchestrates each and every detail of every family’s adoption process with such intricacy in a way that only God could do. We stand amazed at how He brings children into their forever families at just the right time and chooses just the right child for each and every family. 
 
As we enter the holiday season, we want to pause and say we are thankful that God has given us the privilege of experiencing these moments. We are thankful for you, our families, who allow us to be a part of your “extended” family and work hard on your behalf. We are grateful for the privilege and honor to advocate and tell the stories of all of the beautiful children still waiting in China, and it is our prayer that by this time next year, many more will sit around a Thanksgiving or Christmas table of their own with their forever families.
