Russia Update
As of 11:36 this morning, NCFA (National Council for Adoption) representatives have confirmed with officials from the U.S. Department of State that the rumor of a suspension of intercountry adoptions from Russia to the U.S. is currently false. Intercountry adoptions are still being processed by the Russian Ministry of Education until further notice.
At America World we strive to only present you with the facts. Unfortunately, the politics behind international adoption can often breed convincing rumors. We strive to keep our families as up to date as possible with current and reputable information on international adoption; and we regret when information that we have received from reliable sources is incomplete. Please continue to pray for the leaders of both countries, and that the grace of God will sustain our Russian program.
