China Update

Referrals:
The CCAA has finished the placement of children for families whose adoption application documents were registered in their office before December 19, 2005. America World did not receive referrals this week as America World’s next Log in date (LID) is 12/20/05 (Group 243).

The current wait time from LID to referral is 25-26 months.

Fee Increase:
Families submitting dossiers in 2008 are reminded that the China Center of Adoption Affairs (CCAA) has slightly increased their dossier service and translation fee due to changes in the exchange rates. The new dossier translation fee is now $975 for families in the healthy process and $575 for families in the special needs process.
