Podcast: Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD)
Reactive attachment disorder (RAD) is a condition in which an infant or young child does not form a secure, healthy emotional bond with his or her primary caretakers (parental figures). Children with RAD often have trouble managing their emotions. They struggle to form meaningful connections with other people.
Our newest podcast episode centers on reactive attachment disorder since it affects a lot of adopted children. Our podcast host, Jack Hawkins, and his guest, Hannah Branch, discuss how to identify RAD, potential triggers of RAD, and ways you can help your child work through the effects of RAD.
