Peter needs a forever family!
Will you partner with us today as we speak up for and pray for Peter? Today a recent One Orphan team member took some time to share about her week with Peter. Read more about this precious boy and join us as we share his story.
Outgoing with a fun personality, this seven year old stole my heart with his contagious laugh. During a break from completing our assessments, I grabbed a ball and began throwing it with him. He absolutely loved this and was squealing with joy as we tossed the ball back and forth over and over and over again. I think he would have done this for hours and frankly, I would have too, just to hear that beautiful laugh!
Peter has a best friend named Gideon in the orphanage who he is very close with. And although he spends a lot of time with Gideon, he also enjoys playing with other children as well. This precious boy is one smart cookie! When one of our team members showed him a “What is it?†book, he began sounding out the English words! He also can read Chinese characters and is learning how to write. He is adept at sorting, creating patterns, counting and other fine motor skills such as standing dominoes on end. He is so smart and eager to learn.
Although Peter has repaired spina bifida, he is very independent and capable with his self-care, his nannies say. His file indicates that he is able to finish feeding himself, take his clothes on and off, make his bed and other daily life activities independently. He enjoys the playground and playing on the see saw, the slide and bouncing balls; in general, he just loves to play outdoors!
He would be a wonderful addition to a family and is so eager to expand his horizons. There is no telling what his future holds, if given the right tools and a family to love him. Peter is so full of joy and brings light and laughter to those he meets. We pray the Lord would set him in a family soon!
Peter is designated by China as a special focus file, which means a family at any stage of adoption or considering adopting from China are eligible to review his file and consider his adoption.
