On This Day, THIRTY Years Ago…

On August 1st, 1994, Brian and Renee Luwis first left for China to hold and bring home their newly adopted daughter, Fei. Above is a photo of Renee and Fei during the trip.

After seeing how many children needed homes, they realized they had to do something. They began to create and build what is now America World—a ministry dedicated to the belief that one of God’s most profound blessings is to experience a child through adoption.

In honor of this wonderful day, we’d love to revisit our founding story by sharing a video Brian and Renee made seven years ago.

 

We are so grateful to Brian and Renee for answering God’s call to not only grow their own family through adoption but also to make this dream possible for others! We have placed over 4,500 children in Christian homes, and we look forward to continuing this work for many years to come.
