Olivia and Kira: Then and Now
America World has been assisting families with their adoption processes for more than 25 years. This means that we have gotten to see a lot of beautiful kiddos grow into adults. We love nothing more than receiving little cards, emails and picture updates. Watching these precious humans grow is one of our greatest privileges. Here’s a quick update from one of our 20 year families. Yes! You read that right, 20 years since they first started their process.
Its been 20 yrs since we began our journey (the 1st time) with AWAA to start our family. After years of fertility issues we realized God had different plans for us as parents. We brought home Olivia in June of 2002 at 9 months old. She was such a blessing…and was very vocal about a sister as soon as she could talk! We brought Kira home in April 2006, a little over a year old. They both are very loved by a large family… the only 2 girls with 8 boy cousins lol! They are extremely strong minded and passionate about the world’s challenges currently facing us on many fronts. Liv loves children and is working at a preschool in hopes of becoming a teacher. Kira is going to enter her Jr. year in high school, loves soccer, and is thinking of environmental or civil law. Attaching some pics over the years. Our blended family, the baby pics….
