Oakes Waits for his forever family

Oakes is a quiet 6-year old little guy with a darling smile and a love for the outdoors.  While he’s rather shy when meeting new people, he is much more comfortable and open in familiar settings and enjoys playing games with his friends or playing quietly on his own.  His caretakers describe him as a cute boy who is sweet little helper, and they all care for him deeply. Though Oakes is noted to have some developmental delays, he’s a healthy child with no noted medical concerns.  In school, he works hard and expresses himself clearly and effectively, and he has strong self-management skills.

A Loving Ambassador team had the opportunity to spend some time with Oakes recently in September 2019, and they described him as shy and quiet at first, but then quickly coming out of his shell to laugh, play, and interact with the team once he was comfortable.  He communicated clearly when he spoke and could light up the room with his smile!  He was observed to run with ease and was eager to be chased, loving the attention and interactive play.  The doctor who examined Oakes noted him to be a sweet child who was interactive and playful, with no observed medical concerns.  This sweet little boy would blossom and thrive with a loving family’s care and attention!
