I’m writing this blog shortly before I leave with my son on a mini road-trip to North Carolina where we’re going to see some friends and speak at an adoption seminar. I’m looking forward to spending some father/son time together! While in North Carolina and speaking at a seminar, I’d like the opportunity to meet with any families in the area. On Sunday, October 12th at 5pm I’ll be at the Cracker Barrel at 3203 Queen City Drive, Charlotte, NC 28208. If you can join me, please RSVP to me by noon on Sunday at firstname.lastname@example.org.
As many of your know, our Ethiopia program just had a fee increase. It’s never easy to increase expenses, but we’ve made sure that our agency’s fees are in-line with other agencies and that we’re charging reasonable fees for the service we offer. Our in-country expenses have increased as we’ve taken on more childcare involvement within Ethiopia. We’ve also hired more Ethiopian staff so that we ensure we’re properly caring the children in our care and helping families as they travel.
I’m traveling to El Salvador next week to continue to meet with the Salvadorian government and see first hand the progress we’re making. I’ll blog again after that trip. In the meantime, please continue to pray that God would give us all the grace to be a part of His work in advocating and caring for orphans.
