Michigan Evening of Hope: Celebrating family, adoption and caring for children around the world.
This year America World held their fourth annual Michigan Evening of Hope in the Detroit area. Kirby Church hosted and, once again, overwhelmed us with their kindness, hospitality and commitment to caring for the fatherless. Joe Wilson, Chief Development officer gave updates on the many worldwide initiatives that have been made possible by America World donors and families. At-risk children and teens are being cared for in Ethiopia, Uganda, Central Asia and adoption programs continue to thrive in many other countries. Attendees also enjoyed comedy by Byron Trimble and music by Billy and Cindy Foote. The weather in Michigan was cold, but the atmosphere inside the event was nothing but warm and inviting. Thank you to those in the Detroit area who joined us through giving on this special night.
