Ethiopia: Meeting & Praying for Continued Support

America World’s COO, Anna Graham, and Director of Programs, Kelsey Hansen, were in Ethiopia this past week, meeting and celebrating with our in-country staff.

In this picture, the team is together for dinner, celebrating the hundreds of children placed in forever families over the past ten-plus years of international adoption America World has been blessed to facilitate in the country of Ethiopia.

As many are aware, Ethiopia recently made the decision change their laws, banning international adoption as an option for children. America World was deeply saddened by this decision and remain deeply committed to the country and the children who still very much so need support.

On this trip, in addition to celebrating all that’s happened over the years, we met with our in-country director, Adey Nigusse to explore what we can do to continue to support the children of Ethiopia. We have a lot of ideas and are asking for God’s wisdom and provision to make them a reality.

In the meantime, we are thankful for the years of work and many children we have been able to support.

We are also thankful for the incredible team of individuals, pictured and not pictured, that have faithfully served children in need!
