Meet the Team Leader: Cindy Douglass

Hi, my name is Cindy Douglass and I will be leading a team to Ethiopia through America World’s ACT Mission department on August 15– 24, 2014. My family and I call Raleigh, NC home, but are originally from East Tennessee. Go Big Orange!! I have been married to my husband Drew for 15 years and we have two boys, Lucas and Owen. I have had the privilege to be able to teach preschool with four and five year olds for the last 12 years and truly love it.

I am extremely excited to be able to lead a mission trip to Ethiopia. We are currently in the Ethiopia program and can’t wait to bring our daughter home at some point in the future. I have had the opportunity to go on many mission trips, and it was during one of my trips to Haiti that God called our family to adoption. There is no greater gift than to love God’s people, especially his little ones and to tell them they are loved and special and that there is a plan for their life.

During our time in Ethiopia we will be spending our days serving at America World’s transition homes and partnering orphanages.
