"Shayla" about to turn 11-years old. She loves animals and playing outside. She can walk and run freely and go up and down stairs alone. She can communicate well with others and enjoys singing children’s songs.
"Shayla" has been diagnosed with mental delays and a congenital heart defect. Her medical file also notes conjunctival congestion of both eyes and clubbed finger (cyanosis of fingertip). It is suggested that a chromosome test be done for "Shayla" to test for Down syndrome.
Shayla’s file is from one of our orphanage partnerships and is designated as Special Focus so a family at any stage of the adoption process is eligible to review her file.
Current America World families should contact their Family Coordinator to get more details about adopting "Shayla".
Families who are not currently in the process of adopting with America World should fill out a free PRE-APPLICATION and our Intake staff will follow up with you right away.
