Loving Ambassador Child: Meet “Archer”
Archer is a 10-year old boy described in his file as being fairly introverted and shy, especially when meeting strangers. His caretakers note that he loves to play with other children, especially outdoors and that he has developed well through all the developmental stages and milestones, despite a diagnosis of mild hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy.
A Loving Ambassador team visited Archer in September 2019 and noted that he wasn’t shy at all and was actually eager to play and interact with new people and show them what he could do! He enjoyed playing hula hoop with a child on the team and was described as very kind towards others, with a sweet and kind disposition, and smiling a lot! Archer is in 3rd grade and doing very well in school, and he wrote his name in beautiful calligraphy when asked. The Loving Ambassador team also observed him go through an obstacle course, where he went above and beyond what was asked of him, showing great physical agility. The team described Archer as “such a bright child who engaged well with our team” and noted that he appears developmentally on target in all areas and possibly even above average given his environment.
