America World received news of two families receiving Letter of Invitation’s this week to travel to two different regions. America World expects these families to travel within the next couple months. At this time, America World receives no information regarding available children for a particular family, but does expect that families are given invitations when children who meet a family’s request are available for adoption.
The Ministry of Education in Kazakhstan has requested an accounting of post placement reports from Regional Department of Education offices. At this time, America World has heard unofficially that there are many missing post placements in most regions. The review is still being conducted and no official word has been given on the consequences of the review. There are rumored to be potential negative consequences on adoptions from Kazakhstan until the missing post placement reports are completed. America World urges all families to be mindful of the importance of submitting post placement reports in a timely fashion.
