Kazakhstan adoption featured on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition
Last night, ABC aired a rerun episode of “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” featuring the Carr family from Texas. The Carrs, heavily burdened for abandoned children in Kazakhstan, adopted four special needs children. Two of their daughters have a congenital condition that caused limbs to be amputated before birth- but despite these physical limitations, all of the Carr children are active and energetic, and even thrive in athletic competition.
The Extreme Makeover team was able to give this sweet family a new home, complete with a traditional Kazakhstan-style living room. It’s almost impossible not to be moved by the Carr’s love and joy, despite their obstacles, while you watch this episode.
America World has a program in Kazakhstan, where both special needs and non-special needs children await adoption, as well as waiting child programs in several countries. Please take a moment to view the programs page and consider how you might reach out and bring joy to your family and orphans around the world.
