America World Adoption Association, a Christian nonprofit international adoption agency based in McLean, Virginia, is seeking a Staff Accountant to work at its corporate headquarters in McLean, Virginia.
Suitable candidates will exhibit a strong Christian faith and possess a minimum of bachelor’s degree in accounting. The ideal candidate will possess two years or more of prior accounting experience and demonstrated proficiency with Great Plains Dynamics and Microsoft Office. The ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, strong organizational skills and the initiative and eagerness to take on the job are a must.
Basic responsibilities include processing/data entry of accounting transactions, bank reconciliations, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, year-end payroll reporting, preparation for year-end audit. This position is based out of our McLean, VA office and is not open for remote work.
