Join ACT On A Trip To Rwanda And Uganda This Winter
Join us as we travel to Rwanda and Uganda! This trip focuses on direct interaction with children through teaching, providing medical care, and possible help with construction work. Kigali, Rwanda and Kampala and Jinja in Uganda will be the main points of destination for this trip. Despite previous turmoil and political unrest, Rwanda continues to grow and recover; however, according to UNICEF, there are nearly one million children orphaned due to poverty. Uganda remains one of the poorest countries in the world, leaving thousands of children homeless and without care. It is important that we continue to fulfill the mission of caring for orphaned children and leading them to the love of a permanent family.
There will be plenty of tourist and learning opportunities in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital, including a visit to the Genocide Museum. This trip will be exceptionally rewarding, as you will serve in the mission of helping children in need while also learning about the rich history and culture of Rwanda and Uganda!
The trip will take place from December 27, 2013- January 8, 2014. If you would like more information you can check out the details on our website. You can also email us at missions@awaa.org or call at 800-429-3369. If you have already made your decision then feel free to apply today!
