The Adoption Tax Credit is one of many ways that families are reducing and even eliminating, the cost of adoption. The Adoption Tax Credit was not made permanent until the American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012 was signed into law. For families adopting in 2018, the Tax Credit is $13,840.
For families who adopted in 2017, they are now eligible for the Tax Credit of $13,570.
