Introducing One Orphan: A New Outreach Division of American World

We have some exciting news to share about a new division of America World Adoption Association. We are all painfully aware of the conditions many children face while living as an orphan. They lack food, love, shelter and medical care.  In light of these issues and in an effort to meet and exceed the needs of children waiting for a family we have formed a new division called ONE ORPHAN. 

The philosophy behind ONE ORPHAN is simple: As Christians, called to the holy work of orphan care, we have the obligation to PRAY, GO, or GIVE. Each family and individual will fall into one or all of these categories. ONE ORPHAN is simply responding, in full, to the promise outlined in John 14:18 “I will not leave you as Orphans, I will come to you.“ 

The name ONE ORPHAN is meant to personalize the children we are working to reach. The orphan care crisis is overwhelming. Understanding that ONE person, ONE family can impact ONE child's life is imperative as we fight for kids around the world. 

We are seeking to be obedient to the challenges set out for us in scripture, to care for the orphan. We are responding to the GREAT love that was shown to us.
