International Adoption Simplification Act Passed
We are excited to share that the International Adoption Simplification Act has officially passed. This bill affects immunization and sibling age exemptions for children adopted by US citizens under the Hague process. For families adopting under the Hague process the current requirement for children adopted in Hague countries to be up to date on vaccinations prior to entry into the US can now be waived.
Additionally, the bill allows parents to internationally adopt older children (ages 16 and 17) when adopting a younger sibling in a Hague convention country. We are excited to see legislation being passed which benefits orphaned children and adoptive families and urge all families to pray that this continues.
