Indian Boy Need a Family: Meet “Kip”
Need for Adoptive Families
There is a great need for families open to adopting older children who are HIV+ in India. We invite you to visit our HIV Adoption page to learn more about adopting a child with HIV. America World’s medical consultant, Dr. Patrick Van Winkle, provides an in-depth look at what life with an HIV+ child looks like—the facts and fiction.
Waiting for a Family
Today, we want to highlight Kip who was recently placed for adoption. He is a strikingly handsome 10-year-old boy who will soon celebrate his 11th birthday! He is HIV+ but is otherwise healthy and developing normally.
Kip is currently in school and there are no concerns about his cognitive development. He is well behaved and responds normally to everyone he interacts with whether that is a caregiver, stranger or peer.
Like most other 10-year-old boys, Kip enjoys playing with other children, with toys and likes to draw. He communicates well and is able to share his feelings with his caregivers. He is described as an active boy who is generally happy and content.
We are praying for the many older children in India who are waiting for a forever family! We are also praying that God would provide more families who would be open to adopting older children. Would you prayerfully consider if God is calling you to adopt an older child with HIV?
If you would like more information on Kip, your Family Coordinator would be happy to share more details.
If you have not yet begun the process with America World but are interested in more information, we would love to talk to you! Please give us a call at 1-800-429-3369.
