“Gia” is a sweet 8-year old girl who is HIV-positive and has Tuberculosis. She is receiving treatment for both medical needs and is otherwise developing normally. She is described as very friendly and interacts well with staff and other children. She is currently in elementary school and likes drawing and dancing.
Ongoing research and investment in antiretroviral therapy is improving the lives of people living with HIV. Children with well-managed HIV can expect to live long and full lives. Please pray for “Gia” and other children like her all over India who are in need of families. If you’d like more resources on this medical need, we’d be happy to provide your family with informational materials and references for families that have already adopted HIV positive children that are home and thriving.
This is a shared referral. For more information on “Gia” or other waiting children in India, please contact India@awaa.org .
