India Waiting Child: “Elaine” Needs a Family
“Elaine†is a beautiful wide-eyed 4-year old girl with a slender face and sweet smile. She is described as happy, smart, and developing normally except for her ambiguous genitalia.
It is estimated that 1 in 2000 babies are born with “Elaine’s†condition. The growing social acceptance and education in the United States, as well as the availability of hormone therapy, counseling, and corrective surgeries and can drastically change “Eliane’s†future.
