India Waiting Child: “Charis”
“Charis” is a sweet 10-year-old girl. She is described by her caregivers as being a friendly, pleasant and affectionate girl. She is currently in the 5th grade and is learning to read and write in English.
“Charis” has HIV. There are many “older” children in India with HIV who are waiting for forever families. For more information on adopting children with HIV, please refer to our HIV Adoption webpage. There you will find resources on parenting a child with HIV including a webinar conducted by Dr. Patrick Van Winkle who is an adoptive father of a child with HIV.
Please help us by sharing her story.
