India Waiting Child: “Ari” Still Waits
Today we want to share “Ari’s” story again. “Ari” is a handsome 7-year-old boy who is described by his care takers as confident, independent, and plays well with other children. “Ari” has a sharp memory, is a quick learner and is progressing well with his academic skills. His caregivers say he will flourish in a home where he receives undivided love and attention.
“Ari” has exstrophy of the bladder. Exstrophy of the bladder is a congenital disease where the bladder protrudes through a defect in the abdomen wall. Corrective surgeries have been done but the bladder capacity is small and he may need bladder enhancement surgery. His participation in certain physical activities is unfortunately limited by his medical condition, and he quite often exhibits frustration and irritability owing to his medical condition.
Please continue sharing “Ari’s” story and keep him in your prayers. This is a shared referral. For more information on “Ari” or other waiting children in India, please contact India@awaa.org.
