India Program Summer Recap
We’ve had an exciting summer in America World’s India Program! During the months of June, July and August there were 11 families that received referrals. There were also 13 families that finalized their adoptions and arrived home. Congratulations to all of these families and their precious children!
The India program is a great fit for families open to children ages 0-5 years with minor to moderate medical needs, or older healthy children. Some of the needs commonly seen in the program are cleft lip and palate, congenital heart defect, limb deformities, hearing or vision impairment, HIV positive children and many other needs ranging from mild to more significant. Your family coordinator and social worker would help your family assess which of these medical needs or age range might be the right choice for your family. Most adoptions through the India program are completed within 18-24 months.
