India Adoption: Urgently Seeking Families for “Kelly” & “Lydia”

Today we’re advocating for two sweet girls who are living with HIV. They are both from North Eastern India and are in need of your prayers.

We first blogged about “Kelly” back in January 2017 and she is still waiting for a family. This sweet girl has straight black hair and a big warm smile. Now 12-years-old, she is HIV positive and stunted growth. She is described as a well mannered, kind, happy and friendly. She is a slow learner but enjoys school. She is currently receiving second-line antiretroviral therapy.

“Lydia” will be turning 9-years-old this weekend! She has straight black hair, a cheeky smile, and inquisitive eyes. She is currently attending the 3rd grade and her caregivers say she is doing well in school. She is described as friendly and enjoys playing with other children. She is also HIV positive.

Please continue to pray with us for these precious girls as they long to be adopted into forever families who will provide them with the love, shelter, and care they deserve.

This is a shared referral. Please email India@awaa.org if you would like to discuss adopting an HIV-positive child, or to receive more information on “Kelly”, “Lydia” or other waiting children in India.

There are many “older” children in India with HIV who are waiting for forever families. America World has staff that are specifically trained in HIV-positive adoption and would love to answer any questions you may have regarding adopting a child with HIV. You can also find helpful information regarding HIV adoption on our HIV Adoption page
