Welcome Home from India, Hough Family!
The India Team would like to welcome home the Hough family! They brought Kiaan home in November and it brings us great joy to see another child home with his forever family!
Many days of the adoption journey can seem disheartening or mundane, however, we want to share two moments that make all of the difficulty worth it!
First, read how Angie Hough describes seeing her child for the first time:
I know I’ve heard other adoptive moms say the same thing, but when you see your child for the first/second/third time in pictures and videos….there’s just this overwhelming peace and recognition of the photos. It’s almost as if I’ve always known he’s been our son. Like an “oh, there you are!” moment! It’s such a beautiful thing!!
What a truly beautiful moment!
And the second is captured in the family’s photo. What a miracle when you’re no longer staring at a photo of your child but you are finally holding them in your arms and you are with them in the picture!
Join us in welcoming the Hough family home and celebrating that another child has come home from India!
If you are called to grow your family through adoption, you can take that first step. Learn more about the process and the children who are waiting for their forever families. Our website offers lots of detailed information about international adoption, the process, the costs (and the financial assistance available!) and our caring adoption team would love to answer any questions you may have.
Learn more about Indian adoption by visiting our India Adoption pages. From there you can get details on the India adoption process, India adoption costs, India adoption requirements, and more. Contact our international adoption India team with questions at India@awaa.org .
We would love to send you our free adoption information booklet too. The booklet provides an overview of the adoption process and all that America World is doing to care for vulnerable children around the world. Request your book here.
Remember, those families who apply before December 31, 2018, and submit their Agreement by January 15, 2019, will automatically qualify for a $250 adoption grant!
