Hope Journey Stories: Meet Elsie

The first Hope Journey team has already been hard at work meeting the children, playing games and gathering
more information for prospective adoptive parents.
Today they shared a quick update with us about Miss “Elsie”.

 

Today I had an opportunity to meet “Elsie”….a little girl with a happy personality and a sweet demeanor. She likes to color and loves to earn stickers. “Elsie” is eight years old and looking for a mother and father to love her. She understands English and follows instructions. What struck me most about “Elsie” are her beautiful eyes…the way she calmly looked at me while we were at play today. She seemed interested in what I was saying, and often when I moved away to help another child, she would follow me…wanting more stickers.

We are currently collecting a large amount of updated information, photos, and video from our teams who are on the ground in China. In order to provide the most accurate representation possible for this child’s condition, abilities, development, and other important information, it is our desire to have all updates obtained and reviewed by our staff before a family be given a child’s file to review. This will aid both a family and any social workers or medical professionals who will review the file.
