Help us Advocate today: Fisher waits for his forever family

You may remember smart, enthusiastic Fischer, whose story we recently shared here.

One of our Loving Ambassador teams recently visited Fischer, and they remarked on his cooperative, easygoing nature and the incredible determination, adaptability, and innovation he displayed with every task he encountered!

One team member shared:

“When Fischer enters the room, you notice him. While being safely held in the arms of his caregiver, he flashes his brilliant smile. Even though he is unable to walk, he is soon down on the floor, navigating and exploring the room in his own way. This has not stopped him from learning how to adapt to playing, eating, having fun, or meeting any other challenge. He has a determined and feisty personality that can be seen as he intently works on stringing beads on a pipe cleaner, his own style or in the way he maneuvers over to the activity he wants to investigate. When we played with balloons, he carelessly throws his head back in fun and easily laughs at the silly game we created. I can envision him throwing his head back and laughing safely in the arms of his forever family.  That is my hope and prayer.”
