Happy Holidays!
I am traveling back to El Salvador the first week of February to follow up on projects with Orphan’s Ticket Home and continue to work with our staff and the Salvadorian government. We’ve been seeing signs of progress – please continue to pray for this program.
Calendars are being mailed on Monday! I think this is the best calendar we’ve put together to date. Thanks to all the families that submitted photos. My hope is that the pictures will be a daily reminder for all of us to pray for children waiting to be placed in families.
Sometime in January our agency will be conducting a small Focus Group of adoptive parents that will focus on how we can give better customer service to families adopting through our agency. Please think of ideas for this – we’ll solicit input from current and former adoptive parents.
Our staff celebrated Christmas together yesterday and Melissa Blauvelt was recognized as “Employee of the Year†for her work with America World’s China Waiting Children program. This has been a great Advent season so far. This is my last blog post of 2008 and I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Our office will be open on December 22nd, 23rd, 29th and 30th. Then we’ll be back and ready to serve families in 2009. Thanks be to God for another year of serving America’s families and the world’s orphans!
